Reconstruction of Kalozha Church in Grodno to become all-community project
GRODNO, 30 July (BelTA) – The reconstruction of Sts Boris and Hleb Church (Kalozha Church) in Grodno will become an all-community project, BelTA learnt from chairman of the Grodno oblast executive committee Semyon Shapiro. A session held by the governor and attended by the heads of the Grodno companies, structural subdivisions of the oblast executive committee and clergy, focused on the ways to reconstruct the church. More

Junior Eurovision to gather young talents from 14 countries in Minsk in November
MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – Young talents aged 10-15 from 14 countries will compete at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Minsk on 20 November, representatives of Belarusian Teleradiocompany told BelTA. Latvia and Moldova will debut at the eighth junior Eurovision. The Lithuanian company LRT and the Swedish one SVT will re-enter the contest after a lengthy break. More

Azarenka moves into WTA Bank of the West Classic quarters
MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) - Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, seeded eight, defeated Melanie Oudin of the United States (44) 6-3, 6-1 to reach the quarterfinal of WTA the Bank of the West Classic, Stanford, California. In the quarters Azarenka will play Marion Bartoli (14) who beat Ana Ivanovic of Serbia (63) 6-3, 6-4. More
