Belarus, Russia to develop arts training program for Union State

MOSCOW, 28 February (BelTA) – Belarusian and Moscow state universities of culture and arts will develop an arts training program for the Union State. The agreement on this was reached during the recent visit of the Moscow university’s delegation to Minsk, BelTA learnt from the Union State Permanent Committee.
The major objective of the project is to create single educational space of Belarus and Russia in culture and arts. The Permanent Committee said that several problems need to be solved before the program is launched. It is necessary to study the peculiarities of arts training in the Union State and Europe, to work out single state educational standards, model programs and plans.
During the meeting representatives of the two universities defined mechanisms for organizing study courses and exchange professors, students, undergraduates and postgraduates and for conducting joint research in culturological and art education and social techniques.
People’s Artist of Russia, professor emeritus of the Moscow University of Culture and Arts Yuri Kuklachev held a master class and a meeting with the students during the visit to the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. The administration of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts decided to honor Yuri Kuklachev with the rank of professor emeritus of the university taking into consideration the contribution of the famous Russian animal trainer to the development of education.
The next visit of representatives of the Moscow University of Culture and Arts to Minsk is scheduled for May 2012.
