MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – The Belmedpreparaty pharmaceutical producer will export medicines to Saudi Arabia, BelTA learnt from the company’s administration.
Representatives of one of Saudi companies have recently come to Belarus for talks with Belmedpreparaty. The Saudi businessmen praised the quality of Belarusian drugs.
Preliminary arrangements were reached on the supplies of original patented products to heal burns and wounds – new generation dressings based on polymeric matrix as well as Reparef-1 and Reparef-2 ointments to treat burns and ulcers.
The company will also export monoinsulinum HR solution 100 IU/ml and Protamin-insulin HS suspension 100 IU/ml to Saudi Arabia. These drugs are used to treat diabetes. By the way, Belmedpreparaty is Belarus’ only producer of insulin.
“Now we are in talks on the volume of medicines to be delivered and a possibility to set up joint ventures in Belarus,” the company’s administration informed.
Top on the agenda was also investment cooperation. The company implements innovative projects to set up new pharmaceutical productions compliant with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Belmedpreparaty exports over 50% of its products. The major export destinations are Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The company is looking for new markets beyond the CIS. Belarusian medicines are being registered in the non-CIS countries, like Vietnam, Syria, India, and South Korea. Soon Belarusian drugs will be available on these markets, too.
Delegations of the healthcare ministries of Turkey and Syria have recently visited the enterprise to carry out a preliminary audit. According to the foreign specialists, Belarusian drugs are highly compliant with the GMP standards and can be certified.
Belmedpreparaty is Belarus’ largest pharmaceutical producer. It has over 120 certificates of trademark and over 50 patents of various agencies.
