Belarusian farm machinery supplies to Latvia discussed in Riga
MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – The 21st International Exhibition for Agriculture Spring 2013 was held in Riga on 4-7 April. Taking part in the expo was a delegation of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) led by Director General Vladimir Volchok and comprising representatives of MTZ assembly factories and dealers in the EU member states, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Latvia Alexander Gerasimenko met with Latvian Minister for Agriculture Laimdota Straujuma to discuss supplies of Belarusian agricultural machines to Latvia.
Alexander Gerasimenko and Vladimir Volchok visited the Belarus-Latvia joint venture MTZ-Service. The joint venture runs 15 service centers and stores to sell MTZ tractors, attached implements and component parts. The parties also discussed prospects to bolster sales of Belarusian farm machines and technologies in Latvia.
The Belarusian delegation visited Free Port of Riga. At the meeting with chair of the port Leonid Loginov the parties discussed container transportation of Belarusian machinery with transshipment at Free Port of Riga.
