Belarus and Iran will not succumb to the pressure exerted by other states, President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told reporters today.
“We will not succumb to the pressure they attempt to put on us,” he said.
“Our views on international issues are transparent and understandable: we stand against a one-polar world, against damaging nations, using economic standards against other countries. Nobody has the monopoly to use advantages of their country against another state”, stressed Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In his words, Belarus’ and Iran’s views on the issue coincide. The two countries intend to continue following this policy, he added.
“During the two days we spent in Belarus we did not feel strangers here, we were among friends and brothers”, said the Iran President. “We see Belarus’ success as our own. We believe that Belarus has similar attitudes towards Iran”.
According to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, from now on Belarusian-Iranian relations will develop to ensure stability and security in the world.
