MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – The 4th Orthodox-Catholic forum will take place in Minsk in 2014, Metropolitan of Minsk and Mogilev, Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz said as he met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 1 April.
According to the Archbishop, this important event draws a great amount of bishops from various states.
Joint meetings between Catholic and Orthodox bishops become regular and make a big contribution to maintaining inter-confessional peace and cooperation in the European region. The first Catholic-Orthodox forum took place in Trento, Italy in December 2008 and was dedicated to the family issues.
The Metropolitan emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches.
