DHAKA, 12 November (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to help Bangladesh with training personnel for the nuclear power engineering industry. The statement was made by Belarusian First Deputy Education Minister Mr Alexander Zhuk in Dhaka on 12 November, BelTA has learned.
“We offer Bangladesh our services in training the workforce for the production sector, agriculture, nuclear power engineering, and renewable power engineering,” said the official. “If there are proposals from the Bangladeshi side, we are ready to discuss them”.
The possibility of creating a Belarusian department for technical professions in a Bangladeshi educational institution is under consideration. “We correlate the workforce training with the development of relations in economy. The creation of joint ventures should be followed by trained personnel. They will implement our new technologies and will work at these enterprises,” remarked Alexander Zhuk.
The decision has been made to start training qualified blue-collar workers for Bangladesh. “They were enthusiastic about the idea and now together with the Education Minister of Bangladesh we are negotiating to determine what professions we will train specialists for,” said the official. “We are ready to lend our pedagogical staff, are ready to provide the curriculum and plans. We are ready to provide the relevant equipment if necessary”.
