The subject of the contract is also the development of cooperation in matters concerning the development of legislative and other normative acts, the organization of conferences and seminars.
Belarusian lawyers are confident that the cooperation within the framework of the agreement will enable the two sides to examine the law enforcement practice of the EU and Belarus in family relations, Chairman of the National Bar Association Viktor Chaichits said. "We will be working on the new proposals for the protection of the rights of minors, and more in-depth study of the foundations of international law," he said. In turn, President of Italy’s Studio Legale Isabella Cusanno reported that Minsk will soon host a seminar on family law. The event will be organized in cooperation with the Minsk City Bar Association and the Law Department of the Belarusian State University. "This event will be a step toward the development of a legal study, an in-depth analysis of comparative law and the practical beginning of mutual understanding and cooperation on topics of justice and legal reality," she said.
According to her, the cooperation could not be limited to law only. It will cover all areas of human life.
“Our goal is to ensure that theory and practice of jurisprudence coexist together and in their unity demonstrate the fact that the law is not meant to collide social world with the world of jurisprudence. Instead, law serves as a means to bring these two worlds together and unite them by brining them into the balance of justice and civil respect,” Isabella Cusanno said.
